Genealogy & Records Research
Handled in the Family™
What I Offer
I provide personalized genealogy and historical records research to help individuals uncover their family stories, verify lineage, and understand the truth behind family narratives—whether celebrated, forgotten, or hidden.
My work blends traditional genealogy with deep records research, cultural context, and compassionate interpretation.
This is not just about names and dates.
This is about identity, truth, and belonging.
Who This Is For
This service is designed for:
• Wards of the state or court-involved individuals searching for biological relatives

“Why was this never talked about?”
This work is for you.
Please note:
Genealogical research can sometimes uncover emotionally complex or painful information. An Emotional & Historical Content Notice is provided below before booking.
What I Do

When relevant, I also help clients understand how historical systems—race, class, migration, war, segregation, adoption, and displacement—may have shaped their family’s story.

Starter — Discovery Search
Standard Rate: $125 + tax
Introductory Rate: $75 + tax
(Available through February 28, 2026)
Purpose:
This package is designed to determine whether usable records exist and to establish a viable research path forward.
This is a professional search effort, not a guarantee of results.
Scope of This Tier:
Starter- Discovery Search Tier services cover one clearly defined research question or one primary individual. This tier is designed to determine whether records appear to exist and what they state at face value.
At this level, I identify what is available, explain what each record is, and clarify what it can and cannot tell us.
Adoption-related inquiries at this level are limited to identifying whether any public or index-level records or indicators of adoption, guardianship, or household change appear to exist. This tier does not include identity reconstruction, conflict resolution, or interpretive analysis.
Requests involving multiple individuals, multiple family branches, or extended lineage reconstruction may require an upgrade to a higher tier or a custom quote.
Includes:
• Domestic U.S. records search
• Name- and date-based queries
• Index-level and public database review
• Preliminary match identification (if any exist)
• Summary of findings
Important Notes:
Records do not always exist.
Some births were never registered.
Some identities were intentionally changed.
Some records were sealed, destroyed, or never created.
I guarantee the search, not the result.
I do not guarantee the type of record that will be found. Even when a specific document or artifact is requested, historical preservation is unpredictable.
Sometimes records exist but are incomplete, limited, or unsatisfying—such as listings without photos, missing documents, or partial mentions. These still count as valid records.
My role is to locate, document, and contextualize what exists. Additional follow-up with schools, archives, or institutions may be possible, but is outside the scope of the initial search unless otherwise contracted.
Includes one clarification call.

Purpose:
For clients who need deeper verification, clarification, and truth-finding.
This level resolves contradictions, uncovers biological connections, and interprets complex documentation.
Scope of This Tier:
Deep Dive- Identity & Record Reconstruction Tier services cover complex identity questions involving one primary individual or a tightly connected set of records.

At this level, I compare records, analyze inconsistencies, evaluate credibility, and reconstruct identity history where possible.
Adoption-related inquiries at this level may include analysis of name changes, household shifts, guardianship indicators, and conflicting documentation to clarify biological, legal, and social relationships when possible.
